Word Study activities help students deepen their language understanding, build essential word webs, and explore morphology. The activities in this set combine spoken language lessons, interactive games, and hands-on activities using cards and charts.
 
The set includes 11 word study card packets:

All cards are color-coded (distinct from grammar) and use a right-left format that makes it easy to lay out cards in columns for matching.
 
Begin by laying out the cards with the dots on the left side. Then, match the cards with the dots on the right side. Use logic or the control card to check work independently.
 
Each packet includes 12 pairs of matching cards. Some packets also include sorting labels and/or a control chart (as appropriate for that topic).
 
Cards are designed for years of independent use:
 • Color-coded to distinguish these cards from other materials
 • Cards are approx. 2.75" x 1.75"; Control charts are approx. 4.25" x 5.5"
 • Rounded corners (no pricked fingers or dog-eared cards)
 • Eco-laminated (food-grade) with rounded corners
