These phonetic 3-part reading cards use real photos to clearly isolate each phonetically spelled subject. Use these for independent work when students are just about ready to stretch beyond phonetic reading.
 
Level 4 presents multi-phonogram words and compound words. These words still follow the rules introduced in Levels 1 through 3 but now, to increase the challenge, the phonograms are not isolated in red. This level helps create a bridge between phonetic reading and variable English spellings.
 
The 3-part format is designed for independent reading. Students lay out the photo card, read and match the word labels to the photo cards, and then use the control cards to check their own work.
 
Five packets in the level make it easy to rotate materials, keeping the content fresh and students engaged.
